Any Suggestions On Taking Our Social Security?

My husband retired early at 45 from the Department of Transportation and I am 49 and am continuing to work with no retirement in site. Any suggestions on taking our social security?

Thank you
Shannon

Hi Shannon,

Not really. Unless you become disabled neither of you could qualify for Social Security retirement benefits until you're at least age 62, and a lot of things could change between now and then. It's good to plan ahead, though, but you may want wait until you get a bit closer to retirement age to use our software to do your Social Security planning.

Best, Jerry
