I'm 66 and drawing in my social security since age 62, and also working part time. My husband is going to be 63 in Oct 2017,planning to work until retirement age which i think is 66 when he retire can i draw from his ss as his amount is supposed to be higher than my 2,300. Verse 500. Thank you
Hi,
If your full retirement age rate (PIA) is less than 50% of your husband's PIA, then you should qualify for additional spousal benefits when your husband starts drawing his benefits. You and your husband may want to use the maximization software available on this website to explore your filing options and determine your best strategy.
Best, Jerry
