I retired from two organizations with medical benefits, the Medicare Part B portion ($140) is credit back on my retirement check. Since Medicare Part B can only be taken out once do I get to keep the second Part B since I have dual coverage?
Hi. Sorry, but I'm not sure that I understand your question. Assuming that you're no longer working and you're enrolled in Medicare, then Medicare would be your primary health insurance coverage. Any other health insurance coverage that you have would be supplemental to Medicare.
The Medicare Part B premiums that are deducted from your Social Security benefits are not refundable. If you receive some type of refund or credit of your Medicare Part B premiums, then that would have to be paid by the insurance company that administers your supplemental policy. I would suggest directing your question to them.
Best, Jerry
