My Social Security number was compromised according to my Credit Report.. How can I find out if anyone has successfully filed against my SS number

It's extremely unlikely that someone would have used your Social Security number to apply for Social Security benefits, but the only way that you could find out for sure is to call or visit a Social Security office.
