Should I Put Any Comments In The Remarks Section Of My Application?

Good morning, and thank you in advance for your help with this. Your book, software and website have been our guiding lights this past year of planning and deciding, thank you very much, our strategy is determined, and we are ready to implement. Fortunately, we both have substantial earnings, I am currently 63.8 years and will begin collecting my benefits first, and then my husband will file and restrict his application to collect spousal benefits beginning next June when he reaches age 66. So, my question is this, "Should I put any comments in the Remark Section on my online Social Security Application?" I am able to apply to receive benefits beginning with this month, which I have checked on the application. I believe the answer is "No", as it is all quite straightforward in my situation, but do not want to submit my application without being 100% sure. I know we will want to add Remarks when my husband applies for spousal, but what about my application Remark Section? Again, thank you, thank you, thank you. Keep up the great work you do.
Sincerely, Judy

Hi Judy,

No, since you're filing for your own retirement benefits and aren't potentially eligible for any other benefits at this time, there'd be no need for you to add a remark restricting other types of benefits from the scope of your application.

Best, Jerry
