I have been receiving Medicare coverage because of Social Security Disability. I will be turning 65 in June of this year. If I do nothing -- would I automatically be enrolled into Medicare when I turn 65 with exactly the same Medicare coverage as I had while receiving Medicare while on SSDI disability.
Hi. Yes, assuming that you're currently enrolled for both Parts A and B of Medicare. If you currently only have Part A coverage, though, then Social Security will automatically enroll you in Part B of Medicare when you turn 65. If you don't want Part B coverage, you'll need to notify Social Security.
Best, Jerry
