Hi Larry I have been collecting disability Social security for 10 years and make 2100.00 a month am I allowed to make any money with out being penalized? Thank you Bob
Hi,
I assume that you mean that your benefit rate is $2100, and you aren't earning that much. People receiving Social Security disability benefits (SSDI) are generally permitted to make up to $1170 per month without losing any of their disability benefits. For more detailed information about working while receiving SSDI benefits, refer to this Social Security publication: https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10095.pdf.
Best, Jerry
