What Is The Amount That I Will Be Receiving?

I got hurt at work and receiving Workers Comp payments for a 12% impairment rating (3 level back fusion), among others conditions. I am still working, but submitted a claim and my employer is offering $50,000 to settle. I am married, female and 59yr. My wife is receiving SSDI of $1,605 net monthly for the past 10 years, she is 68. The last time I checked MySocial the benefits will be around $1,000 - $1,050 as per website. So, If that is the amount I will be receiving or I will be paired with my wife's SSDI?

How Do I Find Out If I Get SSD Or SSI?

I have been disabled since 2017. And I am aged 63 . How do I know if I get ssd ir Ssi ? I need to know if my benefits will stop after selling house

Hi. If your monthly benefit payment normally arrives on the 1st day of the month, then you must be receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI). SSI is needs based, and if you receive SSI then selling your house could cause your benefits to stop unless you use the proceeds from the sale to buy a new home in which to live within 3 months.

What Can I Do?

Hello, My SSI was wrongfully terminated for resources and income 5/2021 without notification until 9/21 when I applied for ssdi. I explained over and over the stimulus payments were counted as resources, and I was not over for 12 consecutive months for termination. The FO created a new ssdi claim stating I had new medical evidence and a new condition to add. They changed the onset date to after last date insured and application date to cancel my appeal.

Is There A Two Year Waiting Period On Starting To Work After Your Disability Onset?

I have a few questions self employment that I had help setting up and running that lost money. (I haven’t had any other employment since my disability award.)

For background, the business is running Facebook and Instagram ads for other businesses that pay us on a monthly retainer.

We (my friends/family that helped me set it up) hired one freelancer to be in charge of getting clients. Once she gets a new client it is sent to another freelancer that runs all the ads.

If I Take A Job WIll My Employer Find Out I'm Receiving SSDI Benefits?

I am thinking of getting a job and was wondering if the business will know that I’m currently getting SSDI and doing a TWP? It looks like you have to report new jobs but it’s not clear if it’s for matching W2s or if Social Security reaches out to them.

Also, if you have to leave a job before your TWP is up, does Social Security check with the company to ask about your work performance/why you left?

(I have the possibility of working with a friend at his wife’s company but want to keep my disability private from her.)

Thanks!

How Will My Trial Work Months Be Determined If I'm Paid On Commission?

I am receiving SSDI and have not worked since it was awarded.

I am thinking of trying a job that will be commission based because it might be flexible enough for my disability. The commission will be high-ticket so one deal will be over the amount for it to count as a TWP month. My question is, if I don’t close a deal every month (only plan a few per year) will only the months that it shows up on my paystub count towards the 9 months of TWP?

What Would Happen To My Client's Disability Benefits If He Sells His Home?

I am a real estate agent in NJ. I have a prospective client who would like to sell his home and move to a more tax friendly state. Currently, he receives approx $14,000 in SSDI and Food Stamps. The home he owns would net him about $350,000 after expenses. His concern is that if he sells the home, he would no longer qualify for his current benefits. In addition, there would be a "look back" where he would be required to return benefits to SSA for the entire time period he received benefits which has been 22 years,

Could My Contracting Work Cause Problems With My SSDI?

I've been on SSDI for almost 4 years. I started working as a Independent Contractor as a sports official. It's seasonal work. I get paid 2-3 times per season. One check may be $400 the next $1200. I keep all my work schedules showing what I have worked. In no month have I made over $900. I make sure I never get near the SGA amount. My concern is SSA is now wanting information on my employment. Could this be a problem?
