I'm currently receiving workmans comp since 4/2/2020. I am also now receiving State Disability. And still undergoing medical treatment Therefore, at what point can I consider applying for SSDI. Since it has been 2 years 5 months that I got injured on my job and still under disability. I have many work restrictions, although it states that I can work with all these limitations being met and not work in same type of job. Although it is very difficult to try to get hired at any job with all these work restrictions stated by my Dr. I am 64 yrs and 4 months of age. Please reply

Hi. I assume you mean that your husband is receiving Social Security disability (SSDI) benefits. If that's the case, the the answer to your question is no. Selling a house has no effect on SSDI benefits.

So here is my question as i hace been told diffent things from ssa. If i was esrningt min wage id never reach the SGI? If i earned 50/hr id be therr in just a few hours. Its really how MUCH u can work that tests your physical limits. I was told that after the 9 month period ssa would contact my emoloyer to determine how disability affects my work. Assuming i was determined that i could only do 75% of what the other stagehands can do, then only 75% of my income would be counted towards ny monthly limit, essentially adding an additional 25% to the limit. Is this accurate

I received a letter for my sons and myself for a phone interview to apply for SSDI and child in care benefits. The paper said I only needed any banking information. I was surprised when we did the entire CDR I filled out a year ago, over the phone. My son has many specialists, meds, etc. and with recently transitioning from Children’s Hospital Specialists to adult care, I was totally thrown off guard struggling to name them all, with meds and addresses. It doesn’t help I had brain surgery a year ago and it affected my memory significantly.

Hi. Social Security disability (SSDI) benefits convert to regular Social Security retirement benefits when a person reaches their full retirement age (FRA), not at age 62. For people born in 1960 or later, FRA is age 67.

I will be 62 at the end of this year and plan to take my Social Security retirement at this time. I have been diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension earlier this year. I have been considering applying for Disability, but don't feel I would qualify because of my income per month. I am single and am the only source of income, so I have to work, but have many absences. My question is: should I put an application in for Disability first and then wait for SSA to respond and then put in my application for retiring at 62.
