last few years have health issues inconsistent to work briefly mentioning my health issue. In 2011 I got multiple strokes and hospitalized for while in that duration received SSA disability benefits till April 2014 after that joined in work till sept 2106.
Now I am decided to take retirement my present age is 59 years.
if I take retirement now will benefits right away?

Hi Alex,

You can't qualify for Social Security retirement benefits until you are at least age 62. However, you may be able to get your disability benefits reinstated if you stop working, or if your earnings drop below $1170 per month. How soon that you could qualify for reinstatement, and whether or not you would need to reapply for a new period of disability entitlement likely depends on exactly when you completed your 9-month trial work period. If your trial work period was completed within the last 36 months, you would likely still be in an extended period of eligibility, during which your benefits could be reinstated without the need for a new application (https://www.ssa.gov/redbook/eng/ssdi-only-employment-supports.htm).

This is a complicated issue and I don't have enough information about your case to properly answer your question. About the only thing I can suggest is to contact Social Security and ask them your questions. If you've dealt in the past with a representative that you trust, you will probably want to try to deal with them again.
