I would need more information to be able to give you an answer, but if you're not yet age 66 and your stroke has made you unable to work then you should probably consider filing for Social Security disability benefits (SSDI). If you qualify, you would be paid what is essentially a projection of your full retirement age benefit regardless of your present age.
