Hi. By SSI, I assume you're referring to regular Social Security retirement benefits. In that case, the answer is no. Social Security disability (SSDI) benefits do convert to regular Social Security retirement benefits when a person reaches their full retirement age (FRA), but their benefit rate does not increase when that happens.

Both SSDI benefits and Social Security retirement benefits are calculated based on an average of a person's highest years of Social Security covered wage indexed earnings. The only way to increase either benefit is by working and earning enough to replace one of your previous highest years of earnings with a higher year of earnings.
