Should I File For Disability Benefits?

I'm going to be 62 in May and going to file for social security and getting 33 1/3 from my husbands benefits my question is I have fibromyalgia and was thinking if I should file disability

Hi,

You can't file for disability benefits on the record of a current or former spouse who is living, but if you've worked long enough to be insured for disability benefits on your own record, it would likely be advantageous for you to apply for disability benefits if you have an impairment that prevents you from working. For more information on disability benefits, refer to Social Security's website: https://www.ssa.gov/disabilityssi/.
