A family member on SSDi received a letter stating his benefit would arrive on a specific date each on the instead of the fourth Wednesday. They had not received the May benefit in June, but received the June benefit on July 3. This due to coverage of a underage dependent starting.
So where is the benefit for May? He received nothing in June. That is difficult for a person on limited income.

Hi. I have no idea. The only people who are paid their Social Security benefits on the 3rd day of each month are people who either receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) in addition to their Social Security benefit, or people who started receiving benefits prior to May of 1997. That wouldn't explain why your relative didn't get a payment for May, though.

The only thing I can suggest is for your relative to call Social Security at 800-772-1213 to report the missing payment.
