Hi. I assume that what you're collecting is Social Security disability (SSDI) benefits, in which case your benefits will convert to regular Social Security retirement benefits at the same rate when you reach your full retirement age (FRA). If you were born in 1960 or later, your FRA would be age 67.
However, if you're receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), those benefits never convert to Social Security benefits. SSI is a needs based payment that is not funded by Social Security taxes, even though the Social Security Administration administers the SSI program.
