Hi Larry. I am 60 years old and lost my husband in October 2017 - he had just turned 65.

I am working but my job may be eliminated later this year and I am concerned, due to my age, that a job search will be challenging.

I will be 60 this September. When can i apply for my reduced widows benefits?my husband and i were married 7 years. He passed away 8 years ago and i never remarried. We live in South Carolina.

Both my husband (73) and I (70) receive social security benefits.Both have been effected by the Windfall Act. His is much higher than mine. If he dies, can I receive his benefits instead of mine?

My aunt retired after her husband did, and he was already receiving SS benefits. When she retired she applied for her benefits, which were much lower than her husband's. Even though it has been over twenty years, is she still able to switch from receiving her benefits, and begin to receive her deceased husband's benefits?

Hi Larry: I will not start benefits age 70 (I'm 68). I was told by SS that when I pass my wife's widow benefit would be based on my FRA (66), not 70. True? Enjoyed hearing you on with Josh the financial QB.
