Hi,
If you're receiving Social Security disability (SSDI) benefits you are required to notify Social Security as soon as you start working. Social Security will then likely send you a form to complete which solicits information about your job. If you haven't yet told them about your self-employment, they'll need to know that information as well.
If you've already completed your 9 month trial work period (TWP), your SSDI benefits could be suspended or terminated if your earnings average more than substantial gainful activity (SGA) level. The current monthly SGA level for non-blind individuals in 2020 is $1,260. For more information about working while collecting SSDI, refer to the following Social Security publication: https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10095.pdf.
Best, Jerry
