I am 63 and worked in the U.S for 12 years. I collect SSDI now for a long time. What happens to my income at age 65. I am a Canadian citizen
Hi. Nothing will change as a result of you turning age 65. When you reach full retirement age (FRA), which if you were born in 1958 would be age 66 & 8 months, your Social Security disability (SSDI) benefits will automatically convert to regular Social Security retirement benefits. However, your benefit rate will almost certainly remain the same after the conversion occurs.
