just got ssdi record time 50 days did it myself looked a my SSI portal down loaded my letter... all looks great, however when i look on page 1 of my portal it says next payment.....0.00 hmm ? not sure .... perhapes because i havent recieved my 1st check yet......

I don't have enough details to be able to offer any specific information about your case, but I can tell you that there is a 5 month waiting period for Social Security disability (SSDI) entitlement. The 5 months start with the first full month that follows the month of your disability onset. So, for example, if your SSDI onset date was October 5 2021, your 5 month waiting period would be November 2021 through March 2022. And, in that case your first payment for April 2022 would be scheduled to arrive in May 2022.

In any case, though, you should receive an award notice in the mail that tells you when your entitlement begins and when you'll be paid your first benefit. If you don't receive a notice or if you still have questions you'll need to call Social Security.
