Will I Get Additional Benefits When I Turn Age 62?

I am presently collecting $1,850 from SSDI 192 witches a death benefit for my wife and the balance is SSDI which started in 2015 of June I'm eligible for Medicare June 2017 I will be 62 April 2nd 2019 will I get an additional $785 added to the 1800 and 50 at that time for early retirement or what will the deduction be from the $785

Hi,

You can't receive both Social Security retirement and disability benefits at the same time. So, there won't be any change in your benefits when you reach age 62. Your disability benefits are the equivalent of your full retirement age rate paid early because of disability. When you reach full retirement age, your disability benefits will convert to retirement benefits at the same rate.

Best, Jerry
