Can I Become A Non-Working Ordained Minister If I Draw Social Security Disability?

If I draw social security disability can I become a non working ordained minister?

Hi. Yes. The act of becoming ordained as a minister wouldn't have any effect on your Social Security disability (SSDI) benefits if doing so doesn't produce any earned income. Only earned income (i.e. gross wages or net self-employment income) might affect your SSDI benefits (https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10095.pdf).

Am I Still Entitled To Receive Benefits From My LTD Policy Until Age 65?

Hello. I became disabled 11/16/2010 due to several autoimmune diseases. When I left& after my STD ended I was approved for LTD thru my employer w/Metlife. They paid me 60% & once I was approved for SSD the total of my SSD& the dependent SSD for my 2 juvenile children, the SSD benefits took care of my 60%. I was reading my Metlife policy& it states that if disabled under age60 that eligibility runs to age 65 at 60%. I only received the dependent amount until June2019 when my youngest graduated high school.

Will I Collect Both SSDI And My Retirement Benefits When I Reach Retirement Age?

Hello, I am currently 61 about to turn 62 this month. I am on SSDI since Aug 2020. I'm recieving $1747 after my payment for AandB Medicare. What happens when I reach my retirement age? Will I collect that as well? Or at least get that amount of which I would recieve if I retired? What other benefits am I allowed? My husband works I get medical ins through his WORK, due to offices being closed still because of COVID it's not possible to just go in. Not sure where to find this information. Thank you.

Can I Use Some Of The Money From My Disability Check To Buy Stocks, ETFs & REITs?

Hi,

I have SSDI. My family is helping to pay for some of my expenses. I would like to earn and save money to be able to pay for my expenses if my family is unable to do so.

Would I be able to buy stocks ETFs REITS using some of the money from my disabilty check? What is the limit I can spend or earn without lossing my SSDI?

If I buy a stock and I get a profit how does that affect my SSDI?

Thanks for your help.

Does The Trial Work Period Or Ticket To Work Program Ever Reset?

I did my trial work period 15+ years ago. And worked 33 months before my disability put me out of work. My question is , does the trial work period ever reset? Does the ticket to work program ever reset?

Hi. No. You only get one 9-month trial work period (TWP) within a period of disability benefit entitlement. Once you complete your TWP, you can't get another one unless your disability benefits are terminated and you subsequently establish a new period of disability entitlement.
