Will The Stocks And Bonds That My Husband Owns Interfere With My Filing For Disability?

I am filing for disability, I do not have a 401k or any stocks and bonds however my husband still works has a 401k and stocks and bonds will this interfere with my filing for disability

Hi,

If you are filing for Social Security disability benefits (SSDI), then ownership of stocks and bonds by either you or your husband would have no effect on your eligibility for SSDI.

When Will My Disability Benefits Change To Regular Social Security?

I am a widow and have been receiving SSDI since the age of 58 on my deceased husband's record. At what age does it turn to regular retired social security? 62 or 66? I was born in 1956. Also does the amount I receive increase from the 71.5% at all? I get conflicting answers. Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for time.

Will It Benefit Me To File For Disability Benefits?

My husband is disabled as is my daughter age 28, and she receives benefits on his record. I had to quit work six months ago due to illness. I will be 62 in July. I have been advised to file for disability But I am not sure that will benefit me, if I succeed, more than filing for regular SS on my own record which be less than a third of my husbands.
I do not know if I would get more off of his record as she is already receiving off of his.

Can My Husband Apply For SS Disability In Spite Of His Pension?

My husband is 57 years old. He worked for the town of Speedway Indiana for 28 years and he is retired. He is collecting a pension of $1590 per month and he got an annuity of $119,000 which he has rolled o
over to a ira. My question is..... He has a severe bad back. Herniated and ruptured discs he can't work
anywhere due to his pain and immobility. He has medication which makes him dizzy and he is under a doctors care. Could he apply for SS disability even with collecting the pension?

Is There A Legal Way To Get My Benefit Amount Raised?

I already recieve ssdi. I have not worked since i went on ssdi for the last 5 years. But i am not getting enough monthly to cover my basic costs. If my car broke down i would not be able to buy another piece of junk to replace the 30 year old piece of junk i already have. I cant even do repairs to my home. Because of heart and arthritus pain and age (63) i am very limited to what other work i could do. Is there a legal way to get my amount raised?

Will My Niece's Newfound Wealth Impact Her SSDI Benefits?

My niece receives SSDI (around 1600 per month). She just sold a house she inherited from her mom, and is moving to Sacramento CA from PhoenixAZ. She's worried that she will lose her SSDI payments that she's been receiving for the past 10 years. She plans to using the house cash for a savings account to help pay her rent and support living expenses. Do you know if the SSDI payments will be impacted by her newfound wealth?
